Since establishing our roots in the aggregates industry more than one-hundred years ago, the Braen Family has started many different companies to meet the needs of the expanding marketplace.  This diversification led to redi-mixed concrete, a heavy construction division, and even a fuel oil distributorship to keep the mobile equipment and delivery fleet rolling.  Some previous company names throughout the years include: Samuel Braen’s Sons, Samuel Braen Oil, Braen Quarries, Samuel Braen Construction, and Samuel Braen Companies.  

The pictures below celebrate our nostalgia for the history of our family business.  And while we embrace the companies that define our past, we look forward to building a new history with the existing companies we own today – Stone Industries Inc., Van Orden Sand & Gravel, Braen Supply Inc., and Braen Aggregates LLC.
